Slow cooker meals are the perfect solution for a busy or low energy day. Just pile your ingredients into the slow cooker and come back a few hours later to a home cooked meal. The recipes on this page also hold up well in the freezer, making them perfect for batch cooking. Extended chili

Chili is a staple budget meal, and this one is made even more affordable and hardy with the addition of lentils. The recipe is flexible enough to use up any number of vegetables and beans, or be doubled if you'd like to make extra to freeze.

Slow cooker pulled pork

Pulled pork is a versatile southern barbecue made with a low cost cut of meat called pork shoulder (or pork butt). You can cook up a heap over it over the course of an afternoon, and eat it in sandwiches, nachos, burritos and rice for days.
