
Grandma Martin's Pie
easy
- Pastry for 22 cm (9 in) single pie crust (home-made or purchased frozen)
- 1 L (4 c) fresh or frozen berries, (haskaps, blueberries, saskatoons, raspberries or strawberries)
- 250 mL (1 c) plain yogurt
- 150 mL (2/3 c) granulated sugar
- 50 mL (4 Tablespoons) all purpose flour
- Roll out pastry and line a pie plate.
- Spread half to the berries in pie shell.
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, sugar and flour. Beat until smooth. Pour over fruit in pie shell.
- Spread remaining berries on top.
- Bake at 220ºC (425ºº F) for 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 180º C(350ºF) and bake 35 minutes.
- If berries were frozen, add 5 to 10 minutes to cooking time.
Yield: 6 servings, 1 deep dish 22cm (9 in) pie.
