Bee balm aka bergamont

A popular garden plant, most of the bee balms you buy at a garden center are hybrids. Our native species grows 1-2 ft. tall and produces lovely heads of mauve, light purple, or soft pink flowers in mid summer, followed by attractive seedheads. It is more drought resistant than the hybrid forms and attracts many pollinators.
