Bunchberry
Cornus canadensis
The only dogwood that grows as a perennial rather than as a shrub. The flowers in spring are white and showy, followed by edible (but tasteless) red berries. A handsome but slow growing groundcover. Foliage occasionally becomes purple in the fall.
