Sticky geranium aka cranesbill

Many gardeners are fond of the perennial geraniums, better known as cranesbill. Our native species are lovely and infrequently grown. The sticky geranium has noticeably sticky stems and grows 1-2 ft. tall and wide. Flower colour ranges from pinkish purple to deep rose or magenta, or (rarely) white. The leaves change to bright red in late summer and fall. This is a profusely blooming, easy plant for a sunny site with good drainage. It establishes fairly quickly and is non-invasive.
