Building a no till garden articles
No till gardening is a system of gardening where the soil is mulched to prevent soil erosion, conserve water and reduce the pressure of weeds. Building a no till garden takes some pre-planning to ensure your garden is comfortable to work in and thrives.
Planning your no till garden
Congratulations! You've made the decision to switch to no till gardening! Now what?
In order to develop a no till garden, you will need to decide on the garden's location, what way the rows will run, how wide your rows will be, how wide your pathways will be, what type of mulch you will use and then you need to actually build the garden. If you have a garden tractor, use that to help you move the soil. If you don't, ask for help from family members or neighbors. Many hands make light work.
